Learn how to combine PMC 3 and PMC Sterling to make "PMC 960.” This blended clay has a higher silver content than traditional sterling (.925). Because of the higher silver content, this version of sterling clay can be kiln fired without carbon. With higher shrinkage and greater strength than fine silver clay, PMC 960 gives you the option to work thinner in many situations without sacrificing strength. Precious metal clay is made up of silver and copper particles and binder combined with water to make a pliable material that can be formed with fingers and tools. When fired to a high temperature, the binder burns away leaving a sterling silver creation that can be soldered, drilled, filed and polished. This class is limited to eight students. Tools will be available for use.
