Fold forming Explorations
Fold Forming is a great way to learn about the plasticity of metal and the potential of what it can do. Spend the day in this technique based workshop moving metal and exploring Line Folds, Forged Folds, T-Folds, Rolled Folds, and many fold forming variants in between. Working in thin gauge copper and using simple tools, students will discover endless forming possibilities for the jewelry and sculpture artist alike. This fun and interactive workshop will be open to experimentation and play as you create numerous small scale samples which can easily become components incorporated into your own work in the studio. This class is limited to eight students. Tools will be available for use. Ear protection suggested and safety glasses are required.
