Exploring Crackle Enamel
Add exciting color and design to your jewelry! Enameling is the ancient art of fusing colored glass onto metal. This fun and investigative class will explore using Thompson’s 80-mesh clear crackle enamel. Learn some basic recipes as a guide for layering colors and have the freedom to experiment with color combinations, different firing temperatures, and firing times to create unique effects with vitreous enamel. This technique based workshop will be open to experimentation & play as you complete a variety of earrings, pendants, key chains or whatever you want it to be. There are endless possibilities, and a great way to experiment with beautiful serendipitous results. This in studio class is currently limited to six students.
